  1. wow nice list. i havent tried animal planet, mouse trap and othello. I’m a scrabble wizard hahahhaa. And I drea playing monopoly with the kids. It’s just gotten boring for me. But they do play with their dad once in a while. Chess is also nice.

  2. It’s a great list of board games for kids, I am going to bookmark it for future too. During this sale, I am going to order jenga for my 5 year old. Thanks for the recommendations.

  3. Monopoly I think was the last boardgame I played but I remember the hours I spent playing Life with a friend. It was the only thing that would get us to quiet down! There was one more I loved to play – it was called Cluedo. It had suspects and murders and you got to be a detective!

  4. In the last couple of years, we have rekindled our love for board games which we used to play as children. I guess its a perfect way to keep the brain cells going and also stay away from the phone and other gadgets.

  5. Loved the post! These are very good recommendations. About Othello, you say that adults may find it difficult to master. I think most such board games are cracked quickly by kids rather than by us adults 😛
